As someone who has followed Bala’s career since his early days in Malayalam cinema, I must say that this man never fails to surprise me. From his fiery performances on screen to his unwavering spirit off it, Bala has always been a beacon of resilience and determination.
Actor Bala encountered significant backlash and criticism following his announcement of marrying his Chennai-based cousin, Kokila, for the third time. The age gap between them stirred debate among some, while others ridiculed his decision to remarry when a legal dispute regarding harassment allegations from his ex-wife, Amrutha Suresh, was ongoing. Now, the actor has revealed plans to move away from his hometown of Kochi.
On his Instagram, actor Bala posted an open photo along with his spouse Kokila, announcing their plans to depart from Kochi and establish a fresh beginning in another location.
He expressed that his decision to move was fuelled by the need to lead a comfortable life, both for his family and his health. The actor also expressed gratitude for his fans and added how he wishes everyone to shower the same kind of love on his wife Kokila as well.
Bala expressed, “Thank you, everyone! I’ll carry on with the positive actions I’ve taken so far! However, I won’t be in Kochi anymore. For a long time, we were all together here in Kochi as a family. But today, I bid farewell to you and Kochi; not to some distant location, but somewhere nearby.
His post continued, “Regardless, it’s hard to depart without notifying everyone who cherished me… I’m showing my deepest respect and appreciation from within my heart!! Dearest ones, please continue to adore Kokila as you’ve loved me… I am moving to another location for a more comfortable lifestyle, for the sake of my family and well-being. I bear no ill feelings; may they also find happiness!
Indeed, Bala has been very open about supporting Kokila as she deals with the criticism and negativity she’s encountered since their wedding announcement.
Previously, in a press conference, the actor firmly addressed the criticism directed towards his spouse. He made clear that this will be his final marriage, expressing optimism that this stage of his life will prove to be the most fulfilling one yet.
In addition, he countered critics who made offensive comments about him and his wife, using Malayalam – a language his wife isn’t fluent in, thus invalidating their hostile remarks towards them.
For those not in the know, Kokila and Bala got married on October 23, 2024, in a small, private ceremony held at a temple. Only their closest family members and dearest friends were invited to celebrate this special occasion with them.
