As a dedicated follower of Tamil cinema, I must admit that Jayam Ravi‘s journey has been quite intriguing, to say the least. His life, much like one of his characters, seems to be a roller coaster ride filled with highs and lows.
Actor Jayam Ravi has been keeping busy with promotions for his upcoming movie titled “Brother.” Despite facing difficulties in his personal life, he is now eagerly awaiting the fruits of his labor as this new project hits the screens. Lately, the star from PS-I shared insights about drawing inspiration from Kamal Haasan and discussed a film collaboration with Ulaganayagan that never came to fruition.
In conversation with the media, Jayam Ravi reminisced about his time working as an assistant director on Kamal Haasan’s 2001 film Aalavandhan. He shared that he was a huge fan of the star and being around him ignited a passion within him to pursue a career in the same industry.
Additionally, Jayam openly discussed his remorse over missing the chance to collaborate with Kamal Haasan on a movie. He had originally been cast for the role in Haasan’s upcoming film, Thug Life; however, unforeseen circumstances prevented this from happening.
He narrated, “When I joined Aalavandhan as an AD, I just wanted to inspire things from Kamal Haasan sir. I had one regret that I was initially part of Thuglife. But I couldn’t able to do the film due to some reason.”
For those unfamiliar, rumors about Jayam Ravi leaving the movie “Thug Life,” starring Kamal Haasan, began in July 2024. Along with other cast members, it was reported that he also departed from the project, though the specific reasons for his exit remain undisclosed.
It seems this action contributed to a hold-up in the movie’s production process because fresh actors had to be chosen.
In his private affairs, actor Jayam stunned many when he declared the termination of his 15-year marriage with Aarti a few months ago. He did not disclose the cause and asked for understanding and regard for his personal space instead.
The situation worsened when it was suggested that Goa-based singer Kenishaa Francis may have been involved in the breakup of the couple. Contrastingly, Aarti stunned people when she disclosed that they had decided to make their split public without her awareness or approval.
