Or maybe it’s as straightforward as Tiger’s iconic fist pump while donning a straw hat (even though this happened in the US Amateur, it certainly enhances its legendary status).

It has become common practice for major OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to equip their players with special edition golf bags and covers, but consistently creating something fresh every year can be tricky. These COBRA headcovers, however, are a clever nod to the alligators that dwell beneath Sawgrass’s numerous ponds and water hazards. Could this symbolism be hinting at the real-life obstacles the 144-player field will encounter on the course?

Despite other collaborations with FootJoy having ended, FJ by Jon Buscemi seems to hold a permanent spot at the table, and rightfully so. Every year, this luxury designer known for Oliver Peoples and his personal brand Buscemi, adds a unique twist to an already successful formula to maintain its relevance.
This time, The Player’s Shoe has leveled up its style, swapping its original off-white upper for a subtly bold rose pink. The golden heel detail still nods to the PLAYERS trophy, while navy accents peek out on the heel tab, tongue, and sole. I’m adding this beauty to my collection!

However, following some disappointing releases in 2023 and 2024, the Swoosh has made a comeback this year with shoes featuring the authentic PLAYERS logo and a narrative element woven into their design.
It’s said that when TPC Sawgrass was being prepared for its grand opening in 1980, designer Pete Dye had goats do the final touch-ups on the course. The emblem of these goats can be found on the shoes’ tongues, while the heel counter is adorned with faux pony hair to give a humble and earthy feel.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that Malbon Golf, with their ambassador Jason Day in the PGA TOUR elite field, is back for another year, partnering officially with THE PLAYERS Championship. Last time around, we had some awesome fishing shirts for on and off-course use. But this year, they’ve stepped up their game! The Buckets brand has carefully selected functional gear that’s perfect for any golfer. The tipped collar polo and nylon windbreaker are the pieces I’m particularly eyeing.

Eastside Golf, located in Atlanta and New York, has adopted THE PLAYERS’ unique style, choosing a laid-back approach for its popular line of graphic t-shirts, hoodies, and crewneck sweaters. TPC Sawgrass’s distinctive Mediterranean-style clubhouse serves as the central motif, elegantly depicted in a vintage poster style reminiscent of art deco design.
