Hulu has officially revealed the primary actors set to appear alongside the cast in the revival of the popular crime drama series, Prison Break. The announcement follows Hulu giving the project a pilot order back in December 2024.
Who is joining the Prison Break cast?
As a diehard fan, I’m thrilled to announce that Emily Browning (Sucker Punch, American Gods), Lukas Gage (Euphoria, White Lotus) and Drake Rodger (The Winchesters) will join the cast as series regulars in Hulu’s reboot of Prison Break. This exciting venture is under the creative direction of Elgin James, famously known for co-creating Mayans M.C. and The Outlaws. Although this new storyline will chart its own course, it promises to unfold within the same universe as the original Fox show.
Listed below are the new cast members’ official character descriptions:
- Browning plays Cassidy Collins who is an ex-soldier turned corrections officer who takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America.
- Gage plays Jackson, a politician from a well-to-do background in his first congressional campaign.
- Rodger plays Tommy who is an inmate at one of the deadliest prisons in America, incarcerated ten years ago.
The upcoming Hulu remake will be supervised by James, Dawn Olmstead, Marty Adelstein, Neal Moritz, and creator Paul Scheuring. Specifics about its storyline are currently being kept secret. Originally aired from 2005 to 2009 across four seasons, the series Prison Break featured Dominic Purcel and Wentworth Miller. After concluding with the TV film titled The Final Break, it was revived in 2017 for a fifth and final season on-air.
