Hulu: New Movies & TV Shows In July 2024

As a film enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’m always on the lookout for new and intriguing additions to my watchlist. This month, Hulu has truly outdone itself by adding “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard” to its lineup.

Hulu may not have created series as grand as Amazon’s “Rings of Power” or Netflix’s “Stranger Things” so far, but they have impressively delivered high-quality content on a consistent basis. They’ve managed to maintain this standard each month.

As a busy working mom with two young kids, I truly appreciate having access to a wide variety of shows and movies that can keep us entertained during our downtime. Hulu has always been my go-to platform for streaming content, and I’m always excited to see what new Originals they have in store for us each month.

New Hulu Originals In July 2024

Based on my personal observation and experience with Hulu originals over the past few months, I’d say that the offerings are quite average. I don’t expect to be utterly wowed by any of them, but at the same time, they don’t strike me as disappointing or subpar. It’s a middle-of-the-road sort of situation for me. Perhaps my expectations have been set too high in the past, or maybe I’ve grown accustomed to the high caliber of content available these days. Regardless, I remain hopeful that one of these shows will surprise me and elevate my viewing experience. Only time will tell!

A vengeful Japanese macaque named Hit-Monkey receives guidance from the spirit of deceased American assassin Bryce Fowler. Together, they set out to cause chaos in Tokyo’s criminal scene before making their way to New York City.

We’re blown away by how good this show has been so far. Don’t miss it!

UnPrisoned (Season 2) — Wednesday, July 17

Drawing inspiration from Tracy McMillan’s experiences, the show focuses on Paige Alexander as she reunites with her dad, Edwin, following his release from prison after serving a 17-year term for drug-related offenses.

Great performances really brought the first season up a notch, and we expect the same again.

True crime stories brought to life through genuine interviews, historical records, and dramatized reenactments, providing a unique perspective on the genre.
