Huge World of Warcraft OnlyFangs Guild set to end after targeted DDoS attack shatters Hardcore players

The Hardcore World of Warcraft guild, OnlyFangs, formed by prominent livestreamer SodaPoppin, has dissolved following persistent DDoS attacks on Blizzard’s game servers over the past few days. During a recent event, this WoW Classic guild was relentlessly attacked by hackers who deliberately took down servers during raids, disrupting their gaming sessions.

Due to continuous DDoS server attacks disrupting the Hardcore guild’s raids, each event they organized during the past week ended in numerous character deaths. In this type of gameplay, death means permanent loss, and these incidents have led to significant losses for the guild, causing a great deal of stress among its members while playing.

World of Warcraft OnlyFangs Guild set to disband

In a post made on Discord, the head of our World of Warcraft guild, SodaPoppin, shared some disappointing news: it seems our guild is nearing its end. Despite reaching out to Blizzard in an attempt to reverse character deaths resulting from frequent server assaults, recent occurrences suggest that we may have to disband the guild soon.

As it turns out, it seems our guild is the primary target for these DDoS attacks. I’ve tried reaching out for a potential rollback, but it looks bleak and I wouldn’t count on it. It’s heartbreaking to see so many of us fall, but we have dedicated members who are still able to play. However, I can’t help but feel uneasy about asking everyone to gather world buffs, flasks, and consumables just to raid, knowing the stress and potential danger of another DDoS attack looming over us.

In the statement, they asserted that the OnlyFangs guild would disband if Blizzard does not restore players’ characters. Given that DDoS attacks consistently disrupt the guild during major raids on their Hardcore World of Warcraft server, it seems evident that foul play is involved. However, this doesn’t guarantee that Blizzard will resurrect deceased characters.

The streamer went on, expressing his disappointment with the conclusion but accepting it as the one we received. However, on a brighter side, he reminded us that the start of OnlyFangs feels like eons ago, and in light of this, he wanted to express his gratitude for everyone who joined him in what was an incredible experience.
