As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for wrestling, I must say that Bron Breakker has been a breath of fresh air in WWE. His journey from NXT to the main roster, and his quick rise to the Intercontinental Championship, is nothing short of impressive. The way he’s been portrayed as a dominating force without relying too heavily on his family name is commendable.
As a passionate fan, I can’t help but be thrilled about Bron Breakker’s captivating journey in the wrestling world’s titan, WWE. After penning a developmental contract with WWE in 2021, this former Intercontinental Champion didn’t waste any time. In the same year, I had the pleasure of witnessing his electrifying debut on WWE NXT, where he emerged victorious against LA Knight in their inaugural encounter.
Following an outstanding performance in NXT, Breakker recently entered the main roster. Ever since then, WWE has been showcasing him as a powerful figure who overpowers his adversaries. Emerging as a tough contender, he now aims for the Intercontinental Championship.
At the SummerSlam event held by WWE, he defeated Sami Zayn to claim his inaugural singles title within the main roster. However, after a brief stint as champion, he lost the title to Jey Uso. Regardless, his career in this promotion looks promising for the future. Furthermore, Booker T, a WWE Hall of Famer, expressed opinions about how WWE’s booking strategy for Breakker has enabled him to create a unique identity without being overshadowed by his family name.
Booker T says Bron Breakker thrives without his famous name
On his podcast “Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway,” WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently talked about how WWE’s choice to not link Bron Breakker with the Steiner name has positively impacted him. Booker T pointed out that this decision helped alleviate much stress from Breakker.
He mentioned that the burden on Breakker lessened when he decided not to rely on the Steiner name. Booker T added that some might view it as a disadvantage, but he thinks it was interesting because it didn’t give him any initial advantages. Furthermore, he feels Breakker will need to make his way based solely on his skills and talents, which he has already demonstrated he possesses.
As Bronson Reed, the offspring of wrestling icon Rick Steiner and nephew to Scott Steiner, I’m carving my own path in WWE. Unlike some up-and-coming talents who lean heavily on their lineage, it’s refreshing that the WWE has given me the chance to forge my unique identity – one that’s free from the long shadows cast by my dad and uncle.
In the upcoming episode of WWE RAW, Breakker is scheduled for a re-match against Jey Uso for the Intercontinental Championship. It promises to be thrilling as we’ll find out if Breakker can regain the title he previously held.
