In the game named Avowed, there is an abundance of weapons to discover. However, a weapon that fires lightning or a blazing sword may not be very effective against adversaries who are significantly stronger than the player’s level. As you delve deeper into the Living Lands, the threats become increasingly powerful, and if you aim to keep up with the competition, it would be wise to enhance your equipment.

In the game ‘Avowed’, enhancing your weapons and armor is straightforward and quite beneficial, yet it could be a bit perplexing if you overlooked some initial guidance from the tutorial. You won’t have to spend a lot of money to upgrade your gear in this game, but understanding the process might require a closer look.

Upgrading Equipment in Avowed

To enhance your gear, you initially need to establish your group’s base camp. This can be done by approaching a suitable camping location, typically identified by a prominent Adra pillar rising from the ground. Not every large Adra crystal serves as a camp site, but those that do will appear on your map once discovered. You have the ability to instantly travel to camp sites during your exploration of open zones. When leaving a camp site, you can opt to return to the spot from where you originally departed.

When you reach your base, locate the compact tent that has an anvil nearby. Interacting with this will present the Upgrade Options interface, allowing you to select which items of equipment you desire to enhance. To upgrade your equipment, you’ll require basic resources, and you can acquire these by raiding, purchasing from vendors, or breaking down unnecessary gear.

How to Enchant Gear

Near the upgrades tent, you’ll find a specialized area known as an Enchantment station. This spot is designed exclusively for enhancing the unique abilities of your equipment. Although you’ll still need to upgrade your unique items at the standard upgrade station, if you wish to boost their special characteristics, make sure to visit the Enchantment station instead.

Upgrading and enchanting a special item requires more resources, but the benefits are undeniable. If you come across a powerful weapon like the Last Light of Day sword, we highly suggest taking the time to enhance it as soon as possible. This will make short work of lesser foes, and even give you a fighting chance against opponents rated two or three skulls in difficulty.

You’ll be given two choices for enhancing your distinctive gear item’s primary enchantment:

1. Choose a direct upgrade that will modify the main enchantment as intended, such as increasing the health restoration per kill for the Last Light of Day.
2. Opt for a different enchantment altogether, like making the Last Light of Day deal high Stun damage upon successful parry instead of restoring health.
