How to travel to another island – Tinkerlands

It seems you’ve helped a carpenter, relocating him to your town, but now you wish to journey to another island? This might pose a challenge for some Tinkerlands players since the ship sailing map doesn’t explicitly explain the process. However, if you’ve progressed this far, you’re well-equipped to embark on your voyage!

How to travel to another island

In Tinkerlands, to journey to another isle, you need to:

1. Ensure your vessel is seaworthy by making necessary repairs.
2. Choose an island as your destination.
3. Utilize a Map Chart with the ‘Navigate’ function.

To accomplish this, step onto your ship and right-click the wheel at the helm.

In the 5×5 layout of the map, choose another island by clicking on it (the selected island will have a spinning red swirl). This is where your ship will set sail towards next. Once you’ve made your selection, press the ‘Navigate’ button associated with the ship icon – this action will use up one of your Map Chart resources. Following a brief loading period, your vessel will arrive at the coast of the chosen island.

Starting now, you’re free to travel between the main island and this new one using the ship at no cost for resources. To reduce your trips back and forth, consider storing some containers and workstations in the ship’s hold.

In Tinkerlands, there are other islands to explore aside from the one you’re on now. Some of these islands can only be accessed after locating their specific maps (such as the Jungle), while others are immediately accessible but come with a greater level of challenge. Once you feel prepared, use your Map Chart item and set sail to discover new lands!
