How to transfer Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp save data

As a seasoned camper and a dedicated Animal Crossing fan, I can’t contain my excitement about the upcoming release of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete! The thought of continuing my campground keeper career with all my hard-earned progress intact is simply music to my ears.

Approaching soon (or currently available) is the comprehensive edition of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp! As you progress in your role as a campground manager, data transfer becomes crucial for maintaining your career’s momentum. Fortunately, moving your Pocket Camp data to the new game is effortless; make sure you have a Nintendo Account and link it with your current account to achieve this seamlessly.

How to transfer Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp save data

Save data transfer from Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is done using a Nintendo Account. If you haven’t already, ensure you have made a Nintendo Account before you attempt to link the two platforms together. The Pocket Camp FAQ has a page dedicated to all of the following information.



Once you’ve created a Nintendo Account, here’s how you connect it with your device and ready yourself for moving your save data:

  1. Open Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
  2. Tap the Menu button
  3. Select Misc.
  4. Touch About Changing Devices
  5. Choose Store Save Data
  6. Log in with your Nintendo Account
  7. Tap Let’s do it!

Starting the data save procedure is advisable before you exit the game. After saving, feel free to close it. The saved data lasts for seven days, making it beneficial to perform this task closer to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete’s release on December 3, 2024. Remember, Pocket Camp will be offline as of November 28, 2024, so that date serves as your deadline.

To transfer the data to Pocket Camp Complete, do the next steps:

  1. Open Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete
  2. Tap Start and then tap Continue
  3. Log in to your Nintendo Account
  4. Select Transfer
  5. Wait for the save data to download and then tap OK

After completing the process, your save data from Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be moved over to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – The Completion Edition.

What save data is transferred to Pocket Camp Complete?

Once I’ve safely backed up my game data and moved it over to Pocket Camp Complete, I’ll find all my previous items waiting for me in the new game. In a detailed 12-minute walkthrough, they showcased every feature and element that gets transferred from the old game to the new one.

  • Your player level
  • The bells you own
  • Friendship levels with animals
  • All the animals you’ve befriended
  • Items in your inventory and warehouse
  • Layout of your campsite, cabin, and camper
  • Current and saved outfits

As a gamer, I’ve learned that not everything will carry over, such as my Leaf Tickets and Pocket Camp Club membership. Here’s why: Leaf Tickets are getting an upgrade to Leaf Tokens – in-game items you’ll earn through play! Additionally, the content from the Pocket Camp Club is now part of the game itself, so there’s no need for a separate club anymore.
