In simpler terms, Mario Kart World Local Area Network (LAN) play enables you to enjoy the game with friends who are gathered together in one location, making it the most enjoyable way to play games. Switching to LAN mode isn’t overly complex, but the game doesn’t provide instructions on how to do so.
How to switch to LAN mode – Mario Kart World
To change your gameplay mode, navigate to the main menu and choose the mode you prefer, such as Singleplayer or Multiplayer. Once there, press both the left and right shoulder buttons on your controller simultaneously, then click the left joystick. This action will adjust the play option at the bottom from Wireless Play to LAN Play.
You can choose one or two players initially. After that, you’ll get the chance to establish or enter a room. If all of you are connected to the same router using local network access, you can engage in games with up to 24 participants at once, which is quite the gathering. Just keep in mind that everyone must be linked to the same router, either through wired or wireless connections, to participate in the LAN room once it has been created.
