As a seasoned Zelda gamer with countless hours spent navigating labyrinthine ruins and solving cryptic puzzles, I can confidently say that the Suthorn Ruins shield statue puzzle in Echoes of Wisdom was no walk in the park for me either!
Starting off with any game often involves encountering fresh mechanisms, and that’s certainly true for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. If you find yourself stumped by the shield statue riddle within Suthorn Ruins, it might be because you overlooked a crucial aspect.
How to solve the Suthorn Ruins shield statue puzzle – The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Resolving the statue enigma requires utilizing our latest companion named Tri. To accomplish this task, point Zelda towards the statue, followed by holding down the X key. After releasing the button, Tri will charge straight toward your targeted location and integrate with the object. This action enables you to relocate the item wherever you move.
When I get to the statue, I’ll find myself linked with it through my shield. This lets me move the statue around and connect my wand to it by a glowing green energy line. Just remember, this trick was part of my introduction to these ruins; it might not be the first thing that springs to mind when tackling this puzzle, but it’s certainly useful!
Retreat slowly by walking backwards from the statue holding the shield. The statue piece should detach after you move a sufficient distance, which will in turn open the door, allowing you to venture deeper into the Suthorn Ruins.
