In their remake of Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team effectively recreates the chilling ambiance from the original game, along with both classic and innovative puzzles. One such puzzle, found in Neely’s Bar, is the jukebox puzzle that you must solve to advance further. To accomplish this, you’ll need to collect various pieces and components.

In solving the jukebox puzzle, you have the freedom to collect various necessary parts in whatever sequence suits you. Here’s our suggested path, if you find it helpful.

Saul Street Apartments

Start by exiting the bar and walking southward along Neely Street towards Saul Street. The apartments you’re looking for will be on your left-hand side. Upon entering, look for an office on your right. Since it’s locked, continue down the hallway to a doorway beside the office that’s partially blocked by some furniture. Move the obstacle aside and enter through there to retrieve the key to apartment number 5.

In the corridor outside, quickly crush the crawling insect to avoid its bite and potential harm. Ascend to the second floor and keep a vigilant eye for more critters. Apartment 5 is at the end of a long hall. Use your apartment key to unlock the door, then veer right and squeeze through a hole in the wall. You’ll end up in a living room, but you won’t linger long. Search for another gap in a wall, pass through it, then leap over the windowsill onto the fire escape. Climb the stairs to find another window and push your way inside. The fire escape collapses after you, but you’ll soon find an alternative exit.

In the apartment, there’s a closed door that appears unopenable, but upon attempting to approach it, James makes a face of disgust, as if he’d detected something foul. Proceed to the adjacent bathroom and reach your hand through the wall. Continue using the Explore command until you successfully retrieve a sticky “2” jukebox button from within.

Groovy Music

Heading up Neely Street, I eventually reach Groovy Street Music on my left side, where two challenging figures reside within. Overcoming them using my skateboard, I then focus my gaze upon the windows lining the wall directly ahead. One of those windows houses a shatterable object – I break it with my board and leap through the opening. Inside, I find a broken record and some glue on a table, which I collect.

Texan Cafe

On Neely Street, head east towards Katz Street and continue along it until you reach the Texan Cafe on your right-hand side. Inside the cafe, you’ll find a cash register on the bar. To interact with it, rotate the key sideways and press the Cash button located at the bottom right corner. Grab the coin that appears inside, then exit the cafe while being cautious to avoid the moving Deceiver Figure as you leave.

Neely’s Bar

Head back to the bar and engage with the jukebox if you haven’t done so earlier. The missing part of the broken record is hidden within the jukebox. Look in your inventory and apply the glue to mend the record, then insert it into the jukebox. Place a coin inside and press C2 to play the record. Once the scene finishes, you’ll collect a key for accessing the bar’s backroom.

Great job! You’ve successfully completed level one and are now ready to move on to the next stage in the game. Don’t forget to check out our topic page for additional insights about Silent Hill 2.
