How to play Monster Hunter Wilds with friends
In MH Wilds, there are multiple methods to connect with your friends. Regrettably, these options aren’t particularly straightforward initially. However, after you’ve got everything configured, it turns out to be quite simple and effortless every time you enter the game afterwards.
As an enthusiast, I’ve found that in the thrilling world of MH Wilds, every player is assigned a unique Hunter ID. Each gaming session also has its own lobby ID. However, the most convenient method to swiftly reunite with friends is by simply adding them as my Hunter Friend, ensuring seamless gameplay together.
To locate your Hunter ID, simply glance beneath your character’s name on your game’s save file when you initially open it and try loading your save. Copy or remember this code, and keep it handy until you’re within the game. Similarly, ask your friend to find their ID in the same way for the purpose of inviting them later on.
Once in the game, follow these steps:
- Open up your menu (ESC on PC, Start/Options button on controller).
- Navigate to Communication (the text bubbles icon).
- Select Link Party.
- Select Invite to Link Party.
- Navigate all the way to the right for Hunter ID Search.
- Enter in your friend’s Hunter ID.
- Select your friend, and then select Add to Friends.
How to join friends in Monster Hunter Wilds
After they appear on your Hunter Friends list, you have the ability to extend invitations to them in your lobby or include them in your team. Historically, Squads are more convenient for swiftly joining friends and frequent playmates, as they are displayed within the Squad interface (menu, then Info, then Manage Squads). You can establish a squad or join an existing one from this screen. Once you’ve established your Squad, you can invite others to join.
On the ‘Manage Squads’ page, you have two options: invite your friends to join your squad or start another round of Hunter Search to find them anew. Regardless of the method, once your friends are added to your squad and we’re connected, managing things becomes a breeze.
Instead of setting up connections through Link Party or alternative methods, you can swiftly connect with your friends directly from the Squads screen. Simply let one player initiate and host a lobby, allowing everyone else to join effortlessly and hassle-free.
After adding someone as a friend, you can extend an invitation by navigating to the “Communications” menu and choosing the “Member List”. You’ll find your friends listed in a section that is indicated by the fifth icon from the left in the provided image.
As a gamer, I’m all about setting up my gaming squad smoothly. With just a few clicks, I’ve got our private gaming rooms primed and ready to roll. No matter if my buddies are on PC, console, or mobile, they can effortlessly hop in without a hitch. The real action starts when we’re all together!
