How To Make Therrov Help Gro’derr In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon

In the game “Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon,” the Wyrd is portrayed as potentially harmful, a fact acknowledged by most inhabitants of Avalon, though some remain skeptical. For those individuals who have experienced the Wyrd’s influence, its danger becomes undeniable. Moreover, if they manage to share their experiences with others, it can be challenging due to the mysterious and enigmatic nature of the Wyrd.

In addition to being home to various mystical beings, the Wyrd is a powerful, ancient entity that subtly influences and twists reality in enigmatic ways. It can have devastating effects on a person’s mind, and sadly, one of the Dál Riata has been ensnared by its power and requires assistance.

How To Help Gro’derr

To begin the “Age of Madness”, your first step will be to locate the Dál Riata village nestled in the northeastern corner of the “Horns Of The South” Region. Once found, you can either enter by advancing through the main story quest called “Shadow Of The Horns” or by successfully passing a Perception test with the guard named Mabyn.

It’s advisable to join during the primary storyline, because otherwise, you might find yourself repeatedly crossing through the village without permission, which could lead to an encounter with a Dál Riata Berserker in a single combat situation if discovered.

After entering, locate Gro’derr, positioned next to a tent on the right-hand side of the village. Then, search for Sob’derr either close to or seated by the campfire, or near one of the tents on the left side of the village.

He’ll share some details about his brother Gro’derr and recommend you have a chat with Therrov, who typically dons purple garments and is usually found close to the campfire, much like the other significant figure of Dál Riata.

During your chat with Therrov, subtly propose that it might be beneficial for him to receive aid, and express your readiness as an outsider to extend this help. Eventually, he may grant you the Elixir of Gro’derr. Engage in discussion with him and kindly request him to consume the elixir. This action will transport you both into another dimension.

Stepping towards the altar, I’ll soon find myself engaged in a brief skirmish against a Mistling, much like any ordinary foe. Once vanquished, follow the altar to its right and descend the stairs that lead to where Gro’derr stands, poised on the very edge of a precipice.

Chat with him, and whichever path you choose will ultimately result in assisting Gro’derr in departing this realm. On your exit, you’ll encounter five Wyrdspirits: three by the altar, followed by another two nearer the gateway that leads back to the usual realm.

Discuss with him, and whatever decision you make will eventually guide you in aiding Gro’derr’s departure from this domain. Upon leaving, you’ll face off against five Wyrdspirits: three by the altar, followed by two more situated near the gateway that returns you to the regular realm.

Ensure to search the Mistlings and Wyrdsprites thoroughly for their Ethereal Cobwebs, as these will be essential for maintaining your campfire throughout your journey.

In the village, you’ll spot Gro’derr kneeled near a tent on the left. You can easily engage him in conversation as he’s free from the Wyrd’s torment. This interaction will earn you 1,000 EXP points. Additionally, Gro’derr will bestow upon you the Great Beast’s Bone amulet, a valuable item that enhances your Max Health by 5%.
