The Makino Kurumazuka Kofun is situated in the Izumi Settsu region, more precisely in the north of Yawata Plains. Access to this Kofun is only available when you control the character Yasuke. If Yasuke hasn’t been unlocked in your storyline progression yet, then you will have to keep playing and revisit the kofun later on.

At the peak of the staircase, you’ll discover a box stacked with ammunition for your teppo – ensure it’s included in your equipment. Lift the barrel labeled ‘explosive’, carry it down the stairs and position it next to the door adorned with rocks at the foot of the stairs. Retrace your steps up the staircase a bit, then aim at the barrel and fire to clear away the stones, granting you entry.

Inside, you’ll encounter large crates that must be maneuvered to navigate the kofun, preventing you from changing to Naoe. You’ll also come across sections where you need to move explosive barrels over gaps. To toss them, simply hold the left trigger, aim, and then press the right trigger. Overall, the kofun is quite straightforward to traverse.
