In the final stages of Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll be severely challenged, requiring you to search for Hunter Symbols to perfect your game strategy.
In your journey, you’ll come across formidable foes. To craft items essential for battling these powerful enemies, you’ll require a specific item – the Hunter Symbol. This component is crucial for creating ultimate weapons within the game. You’ll need five of these symbols to craft each weapon. The game isn’t too clear about how to get these symbols, but this guide aims to clarify any confusion you might have.
Best ways to get Hunter Symbols in Monster Hunter Wilds
Hunter Symbols become essential as you reach the game’s final stages, but you can also gather them after advancing sufficiently within the game. To do so, you’ll need to persevere and complete Chapter 4-3 of the main storyline, titled “Wyvern Sparks and Rose Thorns.” This challenging stage may require your assistance if needed via an SOS Flare.
After being cleaned up, you’ll face Toughened Creatures within their designated areas. These creatures are unique, stronger versions of regular ones, making them larger and more challenging to conquer initially. Consequently, expect a tougher struggle to vanquish them at first.
As a gamer, I keep an eye out for the formidable Tempered Monsters during Field Surveys. To engage them, I first need to consult my map, find their location, and start my mission. Alternatively, I can create an Investigation to tackle them at a more convenient time. Interestingly, these powerful beasts may also cross my path while completing Optional Quests. And when I’m ready for some extra challenges, I can always grab side quests from various NPCs by having a chat with Alma.
After successfully vanquishing a Tempered Beast, I’m lucky enough to receive one or more Hunter Emblems. These emblems appear in three distinct forms, and the loot that drops varies based on the might of the creature I’ve slain.
