In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the primary narrative progresses in a sequential manner, leading Henry and his companion along their adventure. Yet, if your attention is solely fixed on the main tale, you might overlook the engaging and entertaining side missions that can be embarked upon by interacting with diverse characters serving as quest providers.
As you progress halfway through the game, you’ll find yourself in Kuttenberg, a region that dwarfs Trosky in size. This expansive area offers plenty to discover, sights to behold, new characters to encounter, and naturally, additional quests to conquer. The Reliquary is merely one of many attractions here.
How To Start The Reliquary Quest
Once you’ve wrapped up the “Speak of the Devil” mission, make your way to the forest border situated northwest of Sedletz Monastery, nestled within the Kuttenberg Region. There, you will come across a humble campsite with a knight stationed there.
Ask him about his need, and he’ll request assistance in locating a particular item of his. This item can be found in the basement beneath the monastery.
How To Find The Sword of Sir Valentine
Navigate towards the Sedletz Monastery and step inside its chapel. In the heart of this sacred space, you’ll encounter a niche in the wall; pass through it to uncover the hidden subterranean region.
From here, make your way towards the door located on the left. At the far end of this space, you’ll come across a coffin-like structure known as a sarcophagus.
Interact with it to open it, and Henry will make a comment.
Afterward, engage with the bottom part of the sarcophagus where it instructs ‘Inspect the lid’, and you will be granted the ability to acquire a sketch of the sword, which you can employ to craft it at a later time.
How To Complete The Reliquary Quest
Following your acquisition of the blueprints for the sword, your task is to craft an identical version of it. This process can be accomplished at any Blacksmith’s workshop. Prior to commencing, ensure that you have collected all necessary materials, which include:
You can acquire these items from either a Blacksmith or an Armorer, with the exception of the cowhide, which can be obtained from any butcher in Kuttenberg.
With everything assembled, let’s proceed to the shaping phase, similar to any other sword-making process. Upon its completion, you will have crafted the Sword of Sir Valentine.
Return the sword to where the knight is stationed and give it directly to him, but beware as he may attempt to harm you in an effort to preserve his own safety.
Right now, you can choose between attempting a tough test of your Presence skill or engaging in a battle with him.
If you manage to pass the Presence test, he’ll become intimidated and choose not to attack you. In fact, he’ll hand over St. Appolonia’s tooth, an object that seems to be of no use.
However, if you fail, you’ll have to kill him, so you might as well choose that option right away.
Whatever option you go for, it will mark the completion of the Reliquary quest.
