As a seasoned gamer with countless hours poured into action-adventure titles, I can confidently say that Black Myth: Wukong has quickly become one of my favorites. The combat system, particularly the Transformation mechanic, is nothing short of revolutionary. It adds an extra layer of strategy and excitement to every battle, making each encounter feel unique and fresh.
In the game Black Myth: Wukong, transformations play a crucial role during battles. By transforming into an enemy you’ve previously vanquished, you gain additional fighting techniques. Here’s how you switch between your active transformation.
How to change Transformation in Black Myth: Wukong
To switch your current Transformation, navigate to a Shrine, opt for Self-Advancement, and finally choose Set Spells. The fourth symbol displays your Transformation options; hover over it to view all available Transformations. Click on the desired one to equip it, which you can then utilize in battle.
In summary, there are a total of 10 transformations available, each one either defeating tough adversaries or unveiling hidden mysteries. To activate these transformations, press and hold the right trigger before pressing the B button on your Xbox controller (or the Circle button on your PlayStation controller).
Utilizing the Transformation here allows you to assume the form of the appropriate foe, thereby gaining a fresh set of abilities. What makes it even more valuable is that you’ll receive an entirely new health meter, which can significantly boost your chances during boss battles.
Keep in mind, your Transformation ability relies on energy called Qi, so if you aim to utilize it frequently, focus on strategies to replenish this energy. The quickest way to gain Qi during conflict is by striking targets. While each strike adds a modest amount of Qi, the increase won’t be substantial.
In my adventure, I discovered a remarkable drink called Sunset of the Nine Skies. You can rejuvenate your energy with each sip from this magical gourd. If you’re exploring Chapter 4, keep an eye out near the Court of the Illumination Shrine in the Temple of Yellow Flowers – that’s where I found it!
The good news is that resting at a shrine will refill all your Qi, so make sure you do it prior to boss fights or moments that are giving you a sense of dread, and you will likely be happy you did.
