As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent battling mythical beasts and formidable foes, I must say that the Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth: Wukong is no exception to the rule. This fellow is swift as a deer and packs quite the punch, making him a true test of one’s reflexes and strategic acumen.
In the game Black Myth: Wukong, it’s highly probable that The Whiteclad Noble will serve as your initial mandatory boss encounter. This character is quite nimble and packs a dangerous punch, even progressing into a lethal second phase. Navigating his assaults will prove challenging, but there are some strategies to mitigate the intensity of this battle:
How to beat the Whiteclad Noble
As you approach the Whiteclad Noble, it’s likely that you’ll have summoned a few entities such as the Roaming Spirit (similar to the Wandering Wight), gained one Transformation upon defeating Guangzhi, and acquired the Immobilize skill. Additionally, you should be fully dressed in the Pilgrim’s Attire, which can significantly boost your damage against the boss. When you wear four pieces from this set, sprinting will amplify your attack power.
Regarding your Spark distribution, pour all available points into the “Sturdy Build” for boosting both your character’s health and the potency of the “Paralyze” spell’s left arm. If there are any remaining points, consider investing them in “Furious Amplification” to enhance critical hit chances. The aim is to maximize your health and augment your damage potential. Don’t forget to upgrade your Gourd at the wise mentor along the Snake Trail in the Bamboo Grove as well.
As I face off against the Whiteclad Noble, it’s clear that evading his attacks is key: His attacks are usually signaled by a long, telltale wind-up animation. Stay calm and swiftly dart to the sides to dodge most of his powerful blows.
Whiteclad Noble initiates with a jumping assault. After he lands, apply the Immobilize ability for additional damage (if timed correctly). However, if timing is off, keep attacking him until the spell wears off. Since you’ve presumably charged up a powerful strike, unleash it as soon as possible.
Transition swiftly into the Red Tides transformation. Remember, he can knock you down effortlessly with this shape, so evade as much as possible. Unfortunately, he seems to grow even more hostile. Your aim should be to deliver quick strikes until you manage to execute a powerful heavy attack (dodge followed by heavy). Maintain your offensive until you regain your monkey form.
Currently, your task involves delivering swift, non-lethal strikes, followed by utilizing a Focus Point for a powerful attack. Later on, another incapacitating spell is to be employed. This series of actions aims to trigger the boss’s second phase.
Whiteclad Noble phase 2
In the second stage, the Whiteclad Noble transforms into a water serpent. He’s as swift as before and has learned some new tricks, but he still gives warning signs of his moves. Do your best to avoid them! At first, you should focus on landing attacks while waiting for your spells to recharge.
Once Immobilize is prepared, go ahead and use it, focus on attacking the boss, then regroup for another offensive maneuver. If Red Tides is about to be activated, you might want to try circling the boss around instead. Meanwhile, remember your Spirit attack, which can cause a significant amount of damage to the boss’s health and has a generous range (especially the Wandering Spirit one).
If you’re wearing the Pilgrim’s Garb, make sure to dash while fighting to build up your attack damage. Sprint towards the enemy and press attack to deal a heavy blow.
When the Whiteclad Noble is vanquished, it discards the Jade Fang, an item essential for enhancing your staff into its Twin Serpents form. Once this foe has been subdued, you’re clear to discover the three bells and proceed with your adventure in Black Myth: Wukong.
