Jonathan Owens will be present during several of Simone Biles’ fixtures in Paris, but not all.
Despite his recent dedication to the Chicago Bears, it’s said that Jonathan Owens will enthusiastically support Simone Biles during her upcoming competitions. According to USA Today, Biles herself confirmed this, saying “He’ll be there, yes. For just a short while.”
At the major sports competition on July 30, Simone Biles will begin her quest for top honors with the team final. Following this, on August 1, she is expected to dominate in the all-around final. Over the next few days, from August 3 to August 5, the experienced gymnast will compete in and aim to win the vault final, uneven bars final, balance beam final, and floor exercise final for the USA.
Owens is given a six-day vacation approval by the Bears from July 29 to August 3. Consequently, he will be absent for Chicago’s initial preseason match against his previous team, the Houston Texans. Coach Eberflus endorsed Owens’ choice to back Simone Biles, stating, “We value the Olympics. He’s rooting for his dearest one. I believe that’s wonderful that he gets to do that, we encourage it.”
