As an ardent fan of Tamil cinema, I can’t help but feel thrilled when I think about Thalapathy Vijay‘s surprise appearance in Rowdy Rathore. The way he swooped into that song, dancing with Prabhu Deva, was nothing short of magical! And now, hearing the story behind it makes it even more special.
Fans adored Thalapathy Vijay’s guest appearance in Akshay Kumar’s hit film, Rowdy Rathore, during the popular song Chinta Ta Chita. A surprise moment occurred within the song when he suddenly appeared with Prabhu Deva and performed a dance routine together. However, have you ever wondered about how Thalapathy Vijay’s cameo role materialized in Prabhu Deva’s directorial venture?
Reflecting on a past conversation, he recounted an entertaining backstage story where he asked Vijay to join him for a duet in one of his songs.
According to an article from OTTplay, he shared that he starred in a Hindi movie called “Rowdy Rathore”. At that time, it’s believed that Vijay was filming “Thuppaki” in Mumbai. He reached out to him over the phone and informed about a song they were shooting. He asked if Vijay could make a surprise appearance in the song, to which he happily agreed. Additionally, Prabhu Deva complimented Vijay, expressing that he is a kind-hearted person.
For those unfamiliar, the 2012 film “Rowdy Rathore” delivers a thrilling mix of action and humor in true Bollywood fashion. Notably, “Rowdy Rathore” is an official remake of the Telugu movie “Vikramarkudu,” starring Ravi Teja alongside Anushka Shetty.
In the movie, Akshay Kumar portrays two characters: Shiva, a street-smart trickster, and Vikram Rathore, an upright police officer. A series of wild and funny incidents ensue when Shiva, the swindler, is mistaken for Rathore, sparking the main storyline. Besides Akshay Kumar, Rowdy Rathore also stars Sonakshi Sinha as the leading actress.
Simultaneously, regarding professional engagements, Thalapathy Vijay is set to appear in a movie titled “The Greatest Of All Time”.
