Yet, numerous online sources speculate that these musicians receive payments in the tens of millions. These same sources also propose differing figures for each artist’s income from the Coachella event.

Back in 2006, I was part of the enthusiastic crowd at Coachella, where Daft Punk graced the stage, yet they weren’t the main act. Surprisingly, it’s been rumored that they pocketed a cool $600,000 for their performance. Conversely, Radiohead, who headlined in 2004, reportedly walked away with a million dollars from the festival.

It’s been reported that Bad Bunny, who performed as a headliner at the 2023 Coachella, allegedly received a fee of $5 million, according to the Trapital Podcast.

Based on Page Six reports, it’s stated that The Weeknd requested an $8.5 million fee for his appearance at Coachella in 2022. Initially, this payment was intended for Kanye West, but he withdrew from the festival.

In 2019, Ariana Grande allegedly earned around $8 million from her two-weekend performance at Coachella (as reported by Variety). Previously, Beyonce is said to have made between $8 and $12 million for headlining in 2018, according to Billboard. Furthermore, The New Yorker stated that Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, and Radiohead each received approximately $3-4 million as payment for their headlining appearances at Coachella back in 2017.

As a devoted fan, I’ve noticed that none of my favorite artists have publicly disclosed their earnings from performing at Coachella. Interestingly, Cardi B is the exception here. In an interview with SiriusXM back in 2018, she shared some intriguing details about her Coachella paycheck. She mentioned that she received $70,000 for each weekend she graced the stage at Coachella. However, it’s also worth noting that she invested a substantial amount, approximately $300,000, in building her spectacular set for the event.
