As a long-time fan who has followed MrBeast’s journey from YouTube gaming videos to philanthropy and business ventures, I have to admit that his latest move with Lunchly has left me a bit divided. On one hand, I appreciate his entrepreneurial spirit and his commitment to providing affordable, high-quality alternatives for consumers. However, the controversy surrounding the health claims made about Lunchly’s products has been hard to ignore.
In a recent turn of events, KSI, Logan Paul, and MrBeast’s latest project, Lunchly, has faced strong criticism from well-known content creators like DanTDM. He voiced his disapproval on X (previously known as Twitter), accusing them of selling anything merely for financial gain. Amidst the Lunchly Controversy, MrBeast has stepped forward to clarify their questionable statements regarding their new product. Here’s what he had to say.
How MrBeast reacted to the Lunchly drama
Following the debut of Lunchly, a new food brand founded by MrBeast, Paul, and KSI, DanTDM voiced his criticism. This new venture offers convenience meals much like those sold by the established American brand Lunchables. The brand has gained significant buzz since its launch, largely due to a provocative statement issued collectively by its creators.
Instead of Paul heavily promoting high-quality goods, it was his labeling the brand as a “healthier option” that drew significant attention. Critics on the internet have disputed this statement, labeling the products as unhealthy. To alleviate this misunderstanding, MrBeast stepped forward to detail what makes their product healthy.
The company ensures that its brand delivers the finest options to consumers. To illustrate, he notes that their Turkey meal contains “80% lower calories, 60% less sugar, and a higher amount of electrolytes.” Furthermore, they utilize authentic cheese and premium quality meat in their dishes.
He further details how Lunchly’s sole focus is to provide a high-quality version of pre-made meals at a roughly similar price to that of Lunchables. His tweet reads, “Obviously eating fresh chicken and broccoli is healthier but if someone is going to eat a premade meal like this (which millions of people do thru lunchables) then I think giving them a higher quality version at roughly the same price is a net good imo and why we launched Lunchly. Also as we get economies of scale and can get things cheaper we will be only improving the product more and more.”
