Just before diving into the thrilling realm of Jurassic World Rebirth, Scarlett Johansson received a warm message of support from Bryce Dallas Howard. In a chat with PEOPLE, Johansson shared that Howard, known for her role as Claire Dearing in the earlier trilogy, extended an encouraging email not long after Johansson was confirmed for the part.
Johansson stated that when he initially got cast, Bryce Dallas Howard personally contacted him and expressed great enthusiasm. Furthermore, the actress penned a lengthy email to him detailing her own experiences, praising the fans, and explaining that part of the excitement was becoming a member of the Jurassic family with these fans as supporters for life.
It’s not just Howard who offered her support; Laura Dern, known for her role as Ellie Sattler in the 1993 Jurassic Park, likewise showed enthusiasm. The actress revealed that Dern was equally thrilled about her involvement in the new project.
Regarding Howard, even though she won’t be starring in Jurassic World: Rebirth, she continues to show her support vocally. In an interview with ScreenRant, she shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming movie and her intention to watch it on its premiere day. She stated, “As a fan, I am thrilled about Jurassic World: Rebirth! I’ll definitely be there in the theater on opening day, and they have an incredible cast – Mahershala Ali, Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey. It’s going to be outstanding!” Additionally, Howard suggested that she would gladly rejoin the series if a suitable opportunity presents itself.
In the movie Jurassic World: Rebirth, Johansson plays Zora Bennett, a mercenary tasked with a secret operation to a secluded island for the retrieval of dinosaur genetic material. Alongside her, there’s Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist, and Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid. Together, they form an intense team involved in high-risk activities.
