Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Tom Cruise-led movie adds Emma D’Arcy to cast

Based on an article from Deadline, it’s been announced that Emma D’Arcy will be part of the cast for Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s forthcoming film project.

In a collaboration set for February 2024, the performer recognized for their work in House of the Dragon and Truth Seekers will team up with Tom Cruise, who signed on for an as-yet-unnamed production earlier this year.

In an interview about joining Alejandro Iñárritu’s upcoming film, D’Arcy shared his excitement, saying, “I’m thrilled to collaborate with artists of such exceptional talent like Alejandro and Tom. They are true masters of their field, and it has been a rare opportunity to observe them working together.” The production for the movie is being handled by Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment. Niccolò Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris, who previously worked with Iñárritu on the 2014 Academy-nominated film Birdman, as well as Sabina Bierman, are penning the script for this project.

The movie’s plot is said to revolve around the strongest individual on Earth, as he embarks on an urgent quest to demonstrate his role as humankind’s savior, preventing the calamity he has inadvertently caused from wiping everything out.

In a chat with Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye, Tom Cruise shared his thoughts about collaborating with Alejandro G. Iñárritu. He described working on the film as “the best period of my life,” and he didn’t forget to applaud the talented cast as well.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to be part of this unnamed venture that boasts an impressive lineup of talent. From Jesse Plemons and Sandra Hüller, to John Goodman, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, and Michael Stuhlbarg, the roster is stacked. Plus, I can’t wait to share the screen with none other than Tom Cruise and Emma D’Arcy!
