Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse’s upcoming horror-thriller film titled “House of Spoils” has unveiled its trailer on Prime Video, featuring Oscar winner Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) in the role of a chef whose newly acquired restaurant is mysteriously haunted by its previous owner.

Starting October 3, you’ll find me immersed in “House of Spoils,” streaming only on Prime Video! This captivating film is the brainchild of directors Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy, with food stylist Zoe Hegedus (Midsommar, Poor Things) lending her expertise. I’ll be sharing the screen with talented actors like Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria), Arian Moayed (Succession), Amara Karan (Hope Street), Mikkel Bratt Silset (Headhunters), Marton Csokas (Lord of the Rings), Imola Gáspár (Dune: Part Two), and many others. Can’t wait to jump into this exciting adventure!

The movie narrative centers around a determined chef (DeBose), who embarks on a venture to establish a restaurant in a secluded mansion. She encounters kitchen turmoil, grapples with crippling self-doubts… and faces an ominous entity that seems intent on undermining her success at every juncture.

The team of producers for this project includes Greg Gilreath, Adam Hendricks, Drew Houpt, Alex Scharfman, Lucas Joaquin, and Jason Blum. In addition to this, the executive production is handled by Cole, Krudy, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Chris Dickie. This new venture represents the latest collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse, which began in 2019 and has now continued for five years.
