Hot Frosty trailer: Lacey Chabert romances Dustin Milligan's sexy snowman

As a die-hard fan of holiday movies with a twist, I can confidently say that this year’s Netflix offering, “Hot Frosty,” has me absolutely smitten! Being a connoisseur of unconventional Christmas tales, the idea of a sexy snowman coming to life was just the ticket to get me in the festive spirit.

Skip the notion of Santa Claus visiting this year, instead, get ready for Hot Frosty making an appearance! If you’re a fan of the Michael Keaton film “Jack Frost,” you’ll find Netflix’s upcoming Christmas romantic comedy, titled “Hot Frosty” (releasing Nov. 13), absolutely delightful. As its title hints, it features a captivating snowman springing to life. What would the holidays be without a dash of enchantment?

In Lacey Chabert‘s debut Netflix Christmas film titled “Hot Frosty,” the leading character is Kathy, a widow who has mourned her husband’s death for two long years. An unexpected event occurs when she brings a snowman resembling an attractive man to life. As time passes, she finds herself developing feelings for Jack, the captivating snowman-turned-human portrayed by Dustin Milligan.

On October 23rd, Netflix unveiled the official trailer for “Hot Frosty”, showcasing its blend of heart, humor, and the playful spirit characteristic of a holiday romantic comedy. The character Jack, in contrast to most adults, lacks the usual self-awareness. This leads him to inadvertently breach nudity norms, employ double entendres he’s unaware of, and maintain an upbeat demeanor that sets him apart from the typical gloominess associated with adult busyness.

It’s his lively and cheerful personality that wins over Kathy and starts to soften her heart, making her open to love again after losing her husband. However, there’s a catch: Jack will eventually fade away when the enchantment of the holiday season expires. Despite our assumptions about how this movie ends, we’ll need to watch and find out what happens between Kathy and Jack.

Actress Lacey Chabert of Christmas films fame and Danielle Mulligan from Schitt’s Creek are among the recognizable stars gracing the Hot Frosty cast. Keep an eye out for familiar faces in the supporting roles, including Joe Lo Truglio from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Craig Robinson from The Office, Katy Mixon of Mike & Molly and American Housewife, and Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset.

Don’t forget to stay until the end of the “Hot Frosty” trailer for an exhilarating Easter egg for fans of “Mean Girls”! Towards the end of the clip, Kathy and Jack are seen watching Netflix’s 2022 holiday rom-com “Falling for Christmas,” starring Lindsay Lohan. Kathy remarks that she resembles a girl from her high school. Interestingly enough, Chabert and Lohan were both in “Mean Girls”!

Interestingly, exactly two weeks after “Hot Frosty” debuts on Netflix on November 13th, Lohan’s newest holiday romantic comedy, “Our Little Secret,” will also premiere on November 27th. These are simply two of the many delightful new Christmas movies that will be gracing the streaming platform throughout November and December. In addition to romantic comedies, there’s also an engaging thriller and a touching animated film for families to enjoy.

Watch Hot Frosty only on Netflix beginning Wednesday, Nov. 13.
