Just a friendly reminder: If you’ve missed it, Hitman: World of Assassination offers a Virtual Reality (VR) mode. Initially released with some rough edges, the developers have since put in considerable effort to refine it into an engaging and thrilling VR version of Hitman. This enhanced VR experience is now making its way to PS VR2. IO Interactive has officially confirmed that the VR mode for Hitman: World of Assassination will be available on Sony’s next-generation VR headset, with a launch scheduled for late March.
IO Interactive recently unveiled plans for Hitman’s VR debut on PS VR2, showcased in a fresh trailer. The VR version of the game will be available on Hitman: World of Assassination for PS5 starting March 27, 2025. If you own a PS VR2, you’ll have the opportunity to delve into the entire World of Assassination campaign in an immersive manner, providing access to the 20 locations and missions that encompass the original trilogy. From Paris to Mendoza, it will be at your disposal as you assume the role of Agent 47.
At Shacknews, we hold the Hitman series in high regard, and Hitman 3 concluded the World of Assassination trilogy brilliantly. However, the VR experience for PC users experienced problems when it was launched in 2022. Players encountered various issues and bugs that hindered enjoyment. Nevertheless, IO Interactive has been diligently working to enhance the VR mode by releasing updates to fix these issues and boost performance.
