HIT 3: Mickey J Meyer REACTS to criticism of background score of Nani starrer: ‘I take risks…’

The movie “HIT: The Third Case,” starring Nani, has been doing well in cinemas since its May 1 release. While viewers are appreciating the action scenes, the film’s background music has drawn some unfavorable comments. Lately, composer Mickey J Meyer expressed his views about the negative feedback on his Twitter account.

18 years back, a senior technician at Happy Days had severely criticized Mickey J Meyer’s work, labeling it as “garbage” due to its limited employment of guitar and piano. However, despite the harsh remarks, Mickey J Meyer perceived this criticism as stemming from an old-fashioned perspective and remained committed to his artistic decisions.

Mickey pondered over the recent critiques for HIT 3, expressing a sense of familiar detachment. He admitted that although constructive criticism is inherent to the artistic journey, some reviewers’ comments seemed to be more about their personal preferences rather than his work. He disclosed that the score was deliberately understated, aligning with director Sailesh’s style, which shied away from excessively dramatic music.

Mickey openly admitted his belief in his daring methods, understanding that not everyone may find it appealing. However, he made clear this was not a defense but merely sharing his perspective. Grateful for the Telugu audience and music enthusiasts, the composer acknowledged their backing as crucial to his career longevity. Moreover, he mentioned that his faith in God would motivate him to keep producing quality work, aiming to provide something enjoyable for everyone.

According to him, he has a unique perspective. He tends to take calculated risks, although they don’t always pan out, it’s important to note that the score in HIT 3 significantly contributed to the film’s success, even though the contribution might not be in the conventional ways some people are accustomed to.
