On May 1, 2025, the movie “The Third Case” featuring Nani as the main character, premiered in cinemas. This film was directed by Sailesh Kolanu and is the third chapter in the HIT Cinema Universe. In this story, Nani takes on the role of a tough police officer.

In simpler terms, the film “HIT 3” delves into the story of Arjun Sarkaar, an accomplished yet ethically ambiguous police officer. At first, he manages to break out of prison with assistance from a fellow inmate, Samuel Joseph. The narrative unfolds as Arjun recounts his past experiences through a sequence of flashbacks.

Working on the Homicide Investigation Squad (HIS), Arjun is tasked with probing a heinous, ritualistic killing. Unaware to his commanders, it was Arjun who perpetrated this crime. His fellow officer, ASP Varsha IPS, begins to harbor doubts and eventually catches him in the act of committing another murder in the same ritualistic style.

In a direct conversation, Arjun discloses his underlying purpose. He admits that he’s been covertly joining an illicit online group known as CTK (Capture, Torture, Kill). The killings were crucial steps in his plan to gather evidence and demonstrate loyalty, thus gaining access to the organization and unmasking those orchestrating its nefarious activities.

1) Arjun defends his actions by stating that the individuals he terminated were criminal elements whom he believed did not deserve to survive. Despite her reservations, Varsha ultimately decides to back his operation. It’s uncovered that during his tenure in Kashmir, Arjun was probing CTK and found evidence of its ties to influential figures, such as politicians.

Following his relocation, Arjun came to understand that dismantling the organization could be achieved by embedding himself within it, a decision that ultimately resulted in him carrying out the murders. Eventually, the enigmatic head of CTK, referred to only as Alpha, consented to allow Arjun into their ranks.

Spoiler Alert: Here’s how Nani’s HIT 3 ends

In their mission to penetrate CTK, Arjun and his crew find themselves engaged in a lethal contest against fellow recruits to demonstrate their allegiance. Simultaneously, it comes to Alpha’s attention that someone from within the ranks is a traitor.

In a fierce clash with fellow members of CTK, Alpha suffers defeat at the hands of Arjun and SP Krishna Dev from Hyderabad HIT, who is also recognized as KD (portrayed by Adivi Sesh). Later, it’s disclosed that another individual secretly controls CTK, and their true purpose is to extract hormonal glands.

Shortly thereafter, I admitted to Samuel Joseph that I intentionally went to prison with the aim of taking down the true leader of the organization, a revelation that left me stunned since it was none other than him.

At the end of the credits, a fresh police officer hailing from Chennai makes an appearance, portrayed by Karthi, who takes on the role of ACP Veerappan IPS. This subtle introduction suggests that we might be expecting another chapter in this series.
