Hilarious new Halo Combat Evolved glitch lets players drive the iconic Halo Ring itself

24 years after the initial release of Halo Combat Evolved, an unexpected glitch has surfaced, providing players with an extraordinary opportunity: assuming the role of the legendary Halo Ring itself. Following their previous achievements in transforming into Covenant adversaries without any modifications, these creative minds have now found a method to commandeer the game’s ringworld.

Become the Halo Ring in Combat Evolved

On YouTube, it’s been demonstrated that a glitch in the latest version of Halo Combat Evolved can be replicated on not just the original Xbox edition of the game but also on the PC and current-generation Xbox consoles within the Master Chief Collection.

According to content creator Porle 117’s latest findings, there’s a new glitch in Halo that involves coordination between two players. They need to strategically manage loading zones within the game and then discharge an extraordinary amount of ammunition – approximately as much as filling 272 entire Assault Rifle magazines with bullets each.

Following that, players are required to fire 7 extra rounds, which then initiates a sequence of events leading to the playback of a cutscene. After thoroughly observing the entire cutscene, player one will find themselves floating in the expanse of space, now commandeering the Halo Ring itself.

In the game Halo Combat Evolved, it’s interesting to note that even the Halo Ring itself functions as a controllable vehicle. As the ring, players can rotate and move at a snail’s pace, with limited actions available. However, the sense of power they experience is immense and unlike anything else.

In summary, it approximates around thirty minutes to execute the glitch that transforms a location into the Halo ring, after which there isn’t much left to accomplish. It remains uncertain whether this specific glitch can be replicated elsewhere within the game, such as during the final scene where Master Chief and Cortana depart in the Broadsword.
