What happens in the High Rollers trailer?
As a gamer, stepping into the shoes of Mason Goddard, I find myself thrust into an unexpected mission: orchestrating a daring casino heist at the Scarlet Pearl. The twist? My partner, played by Gina Gershon, has been snatched, leaving me no choice but to act. The job won’t be easy; we’ll have to outsmart armed guards, crack open locked safes, and navigate through a maze of high-security measures. But hey, it’s just another day in the life of a gamer turned heist mastermind.
In a world where crime pays, master thief Mason (played by John Travolta) is living his fantasy – sailing from island to island with his trusted crew and beloved partner, Decker (Gina Gershon), on a sea of pilfered wealth. However, this paradise comes crashing down when Mason’s arch-nemesis, the relentless Salazar, abducts Decker. To get her back, Mason and the gang are compelled to execute an almost impossible heist at a casino, setting off a chain of events that could cost them everything, including Decker’s life. As Salazar’s rivals close in, and with the FBI hot on his heels, Mason risks it all, playing for both the biggest score and the ultimate prize: rescuing Decker.
In terms of direction, both the movies “Cash Out” and “High Rollers” can be credited to Ives. The screenplay for these films was penned by Chris Sivertson.
In addition to Travolta and Gershon, who are known for their roles in Face/Off and Killer Joe, the film High Rollers also features Lukas Haas, recognized from Inception and First Man, as well as Quavo, who appeared in Savage Salvation.
Beyond his role in Cash Out, John Travolta has recently graced the big screen in movies like The Fanatic (2019), Paradise City (2022), and Mob Land (2023). Before these, he had acted in films such as Saturday Night Fever (1977), Grease (1978), Urban Cowboy (1980), Pulp Fiction (1994), Phenomenon (1996), Broken Arrow (1996), Hairspray (2007) and many others.
The movie titled “High Rollers” is set to hit theaters on March 14, 2025, courtesy of Saban Films. On that very same day, it will also become available for streaming online and on-demand.
