Here's when you can binge-watch 13 shows from AMC on Netflix

As a dedicated gamer and binge-watcher of Netflix shows, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming influx of new content! The recent announcement that AMC and its streaming service have struck a deal to bring over a dozen fan-favorite shows to Netflix has me counting down the days.

Get ready for an abundance of fresh content on Netflix coming your way in August! An impressive lineup of over a dozen popular shows from AMC and its streaming platform will be available for streaming on Netflix.

As a long-time fan of AMC shows, I’m thrilled about the upcoming releases on Netflix. When the news first broke in June, I was excited but unsure about when we could expect these new additions to hit our screens. However, recent reports from What’s on Netflix have shed some light on the matter.

The full lineup of the AMC titles headed for Netflix was also confirmed:

  • A Discovery of Witches season 1-3
  • Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches season 1
  • Dark Winds season 1-2
  • Fear the Walking Dead season 1-8
  • Gangs of London season 1-2
  • Interview with the Vampire season 1
  • Into the Badlands season 1-3
  • Kevin Can F Himself season 1-2
  • Monsieur Spade season 1
  • Preacher season 1-4
  • That Dirty Black Bag season 1
  • The Terror season 1
  • The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 1

Starting from August 31, two seasons of the gripping British crime thriller “Gangs of London” will become available on Netflix. Additionally, a dozen other shows from AMC will be added to the platform on August 19. With such a large number of shows debuting simultaneously, it’s likely that many of them will quickly climb the charts and join the top 10 most-watched shows for the month of August. (Please keep in mind that these dates are not yet confirmed by Netflix and remain subject to change.)

The Walking Dead universe expands!

Without a doubt, given that “The Walking Dead” continues to be available for streaming on Netflix, it’s expected that many fans will rush to watch all eight seasons of “Fear the Walking Dead” and the debut season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.” This is an excellent opportunity to get up-to-speed on “Daryl Dixon,” as the second season of this spinoff, titled “The Book of Carol,” will begin airing on AMC on Sept. 29.

Action, action, action!

As a passionate fan, I’d recommend checking out “Into the Badlands” and “Preacher” if you’re a Netflix viewer with a soft spot for action dramas or dark comedies. With over three seasons each, these shows have left quite an impression. If you’re hooked on “The Umbrella Academy” and “The Sandman,” give “Preacher” a try. And if you can’t get enough of shows like “Superstore” and “Vikings: Valhalla,” then “Into the Badlands” is right up your alley.

Underrated supernatural favorites!

Less recognized series on the list are “Interview with the Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches,” which boast dedicated fan bases despite being underappreciated. These intriguing shows are must-sees, perfect for those seeking an escape from the summer heat and craving a touch of the spooky atmosphere. Upcoming seasons on AMC include the second installment for “Mayfair” and the third for “Vampire.”

A comedy with a twist!

An intriguing contender that has received less recognition than it deserves is “Kevin Can F Himself,” a show that combines elements of comedy and drama. Starring Emmy Award-winning actress Annie Murphy, who has previously graced our screens in “Schitt’s Creek,” “Russian Doll,” and “Black Mirror” on Netflix, this series boasts just 16 episodes, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a swift and satisfying binge-watching experience. Although some viewers might not be fond of the sitcom aspect, it plays a crucial role in delivering this one-of-a-kind tale filled with biting wit and unexpected twists.

If you’re on the lookout for something fresh to watch on Netflix, don’t miss out on these exceptional series once they become available. With many of the most anticipated Netflix shows yet to be released, likely not until 2025 or even 2026, you’ll need some new entertainment to fill the gap. Prepared for doses of humor, excitement, suspense, and more? Here are some suggestions!
