Here’s When Pat Sajak Returns to Wheel of Fortune

A significant number of enthusiasts are eager to witness Pat Sajak‘s return as the host of Wheel of Fortune, and their wait may not be prolonged. Following his replacement by Ryan Seacrest in September 2024, Sajak is set to make a reappearance, at least on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, quite soon. There’s chatter that the executives at Sony Pictures have been somewhat dissatisfied with Seacrest’s recent performances, which could potentially lead to Sajak resuming his hosting role for the main show as well.

When does Celebrity Wheel of Fortune Season 5 return with Pat Sajak?

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, starting at 8 PM Eastern Time, Pat Sajak will be back as the host for Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’s fifth season.

According to a statement from ABC, Sajak’s tenure as the host of Wheel of Fortune is coming to an end, signifying this could be his last appearance on the show. However, the identity of his successor for Celebrity Wheel of Fortune remains undecided, although Ryan Seacrest is a strong contender due to his busy schedule.

The fifth season of Wheel of Fortune featuring celebrities, hosted by Sajak and Vanna White, was actually filmed in its entirety way back in 2024. However, its official release was postponed due to scheduling conflicts – it would have overlapped with the NFL playoffs and the coverage of the 2024 presidential election.

The initial episode of Season 5 premiered on December 2, 2024, featuring celebrities Chance the Rapper, Dionne Warwick, and Lil Jon. Since the Christmas decorations were noticeable in this episode, airing it during the spring or summer would have been quite unusual. However, following its broadcast, the subsequent episodes of Season 5 were strangely postponed, leaving us in a waiting game until now.

In the upcoming Season 5, we’ll see famous faces like Joe Manganiello, Randall Park, Matt Walsh, Josh Gad, Regina Hall, Ellie Kemper, and Tiffany Haddish join us.
