Here's how Vijay Sethupathi reacted when asked about using de-aging technology for Vetrimaaran directorial Viduthalai 2

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in the industry, I must say that Vijay Sethupathi continues to impress me with his unique approach to stardom and his unwavering commitment to his craft. His recent statement about keeping the secrets of his films under wraps is reminiscent of a magician who delights in the mystery rather than revealing the tricks behind the illusion.

Vijay Sethupathi has demonstrated remarkable versatility throughout his career, as evidenced by his impressive body of work. Following the great acclaim he received for Maharaja, the actor is eagerly anticipating the release of Viduthalai 2, which is a sequel to the film with the same name set for release in 2023.

In a recent media engagement, I was queried about employing the contemporary technique of de-aging technology to achieve the refreshed and youthful appearance showcased in Viduthalai 2, as suggested by several sneak peeks from the movie. Here’s my take on it:

In response, the actor gave an honest yet cryptic response, saying, “Sir, I am able to address your question, but I prefer keeping certain details hidden from you. Why does it matter if we employed technology or not? My intention is for you to enjoy the movie, regardless of whether you appreciated it or not. Let’s keep things as they are.

Recently, during an interview with The Great Andhra, the actor was questioned about his thoughts on the less-than-stellar reception that recent movies such as The GOAT and Kanguva have experienced at the cinema box office.

The actor appeared somewhat taken aback by the query and asked curiously why others might discuss past movies instead of focusing on his forthcoming project.

Yet, his response was carefully detailed as well, suggesting that each movie released in theaters has an equal opportunity to become either a success or a flop.

In simpler terms, “Vikram mentioned, ‘Before we officially launch any movie, we share it with the public. This includes all of my unsuccessful movies too, so we can gauge the general public’s reaction and opinions prior to the release.’

For those unfamiliar, the film titled “Viduthalai 2” featuring actors like Soori, Manju Warrier, Gautham Vasudev Menon, among others, is set to be released on the 20th of December.
