The release date for Robert Zemeckis‘ film “Here” featuring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright has been moved up, meaning it will hit theaters ahead of schedule as previously planned.

The release date for the new Here has been moved up from November 15, 2024, to November 1, 2024.

“Here (2024) is a cinematic exploration inspired by Richard McGuire’s 1989 graphic novel, taking us on a journey through the history of a single piece of land over centuries. The movie offers an insightful look at time’s transformative power, with the camera remaining static as the story unfolds in one fixed location.”

In the movie, Hanks portrays Richard, a 67-year-old born during the baby boomer generation. The film employs time-traveling techniques, with de-aging effects used to show Richard at various stages of life. Wright takes on the role of Margaret, Richard’s partner who later becomes his wife. As their relationship progresses, they establish a family and nurture children within the house where Richard once grew up himself.

Their fifth big-screen collaboration is particularly exciting because it marks the first time they’ve worked together after a thirty-year hiatus since their iconic film Forrest Gump. Having grown up watching their movies and being deeply moved by their storytelling, I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this time around.
