The lineup for the Harry Potter television series is expanding as Warner Bros. Discovery reveals they’ve chosen the performers for the Malfoy family, Molly Weasley, and additional characters.
Who are the new additions to the Harry Potter HBO show cast?
As per WB’s announcement, Lox Pratt and Johnny Flynn are set to join the cast in their respective roles as Draco Malfoy and Lucius Malfoy for an upcoming series. Pratt is a fresh face, while Flynn has previously starred in productions like Emma, One Life, and Lovesick. Additionally, Katherine Parkinson from The IT Crowd will portray Molly Weasley, Leo Earley will take on the character Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni will play Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah has been cast as Lavender Brown.
The family of the Dursleys has some new faces joining their ranks. Bel Powley, known for her work in “The Diary of a Teenage Girl,” will portray Petunia Dursley. Similarly, Daniel Rigby, famous for his role in “Snow White,” will take on the part of Vernon Dursley. Lastly, Bertie Carvel, who has appeared in “The Crown,” is set to play Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic.
The Harry Potter series is labeled as a “10-year” endeavor, with each installment intending to bring to life one of J.K. Rowling’s renowned books. The show will be directed by Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout, portraying Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley respectively.
In addition to Parkinson, Pratt, Flynn, Earley, Powley, and Carvel, the series will also feature John Lithgow playing Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer portraying Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost taking on Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon in the role of Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse cast as Argus Filch.
Or simply:

Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, and David Heyman, a long-time producer of the Harry Potter franchise.
