Happy Gilmore 2 Teaser Trailer Previews Adam Sandler Sequel

As a gamer who has spent countless hours playing golf games and binge-watching Adam Sandler movies since my early teens, I must say that the news of Happy Gilmore 2 is music to my ears! The original film was a hilarious blend of sports and comedy that struck a chord with many of us in the ’90s. Seeing Christopher McDonald back as Shooter McGavin is a delightful throwback to those nostalgic days, and the addition of new talent like Bad Bunny, Kid Cudi, and MJF only adds to the excitement.

Netflix unveiled a sneak peek at the initial trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, the upcoming sequel starring Adam Sandler. The brief 45-second clip also includes the return of Christopher McDonald as the antagonistic golfer Shooter McGavin. Although no specific launch date has been announced, it’s expected to arrive in 2025.

Who is in the Happy Gilmore 2 cast?

In the sequel of “Happy Gilmore”, Adam Sandler reprises his role as our protagonist, Happy – a previous hockey player who switches to golf when he finds himself in need of funds to save his grandmother’s home. His unconventional golf technique and boisterous manners stir things up on the PGA Tour, earning him widespread admiration among fans.

In addition to Sandler and Stiller, actors reprising their roles for the sequel of Happy Gilmore also include Christopher McDonald playing Shooter McGavin, who is both Happy’s fierce golf rival on the PGA Tour and fellow golfer, as well as Julie Bowen portraying Virginia Venit, a PR director who serves as Happy’s love interest.

The upcoming cast for Happy Gilmore 2 features several new additions including Bad Bunny (Benito Martínez Ocasio), Nick Swardson, Benny Safdie, Margaret Qualley, Maxwell Jacob Friedman from AEW (MJF), Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi), Travis Kelce, and John Daly.

In a new development, it’s been announced that Kyle Newacheck (known for “Murder Mystery”) will be at the helm for the upcoming sequel to “Happy Gilmore,” with a screenplay jointly penned by Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy. The production team includes Sandler, Herlihy, Robert Simonds, and Jack Giarraputo. Unlike its predecessor from Universal Studios, this sequel is being produced by Netflix.

1996 saw the debut of Happy Gilmore, one of Adam Sandler’s initial leading film roles following his stint on Saturday Night Live. This golf-themed comedy brought in an impressive $41 million at the box office on a production budget of just $12 million.
