Hansika Motwani moves to HC in a criminal case filed by her sister-in-law; claims a loan return of Rs 27 lakhs

News headlines buzzed following the filing of a police complaint by Muskan Nancy James, Hansika Motwani‘s former sister-in-law, against Hansika, her mother, and brother, Aranmanai actor Prashant Motwani. The complaint included charges of domestic abuse and other serious allegations.

Previously, Muskan was wedded to Prashant, but they parted ways with a divorce in December of 2022. Currently, Hansika is petitioning the Bombay High Court to dismiss accusations directed towards her.

Hansika’s petition asserted that the First Information Report (FIR) lodged against her by her ex-sister-in-law was malicious, with the allegation arising following her request for repayment of INR 27 lakhs, a loan extended for Muskan and Prashant’s wedding.

The actress from Koi Mil Gaya asserted that the wedding planners were paid with her funds, however, she wasn’t refunded afterwards.

Additionally, she contended that Muskan’s allegation for a criminal case was essentially an overblown version of the marital disagreement she had with her brother, Prashant.

As reported by Times Now, Hansika’s argument asserts that the accusations leveled against her are groundless, fueled by personal motivations, and stem from domestic disagreements that have been overblown to fall within the scope of criminal investigation.

Additionally, Hansika made it clear that she doesn’t directly interfere with her brother’s marital problems. She stated that the allegations made by Muskan Nancy James were primarily intended to exert pressure on her during the current disagreement, as she was not the main party involved in the complaint.
