Actress Hansika Motwani is back in the headlines due to some unfortunate family matters. Her brother, Prashant Motwani, who’s married to television actress Muskan Nancy James, stands accused of domestic abuse by his wife. Muskan has also named Hansika and their mother in her complaint.
According to News18, Muskan Nancy James has filed a complaint at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai against Hansika, Prashant, and their mother Mona Motwani. The allegations made against them involve Sections 498-A (dowry harassment), 323 (causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
According to Muskan’s account, Hansika and her mother, Mona, consistently meddled in Hansika’s marriage to Prashant, eventually causing the union to collapse beyond repair.
Additionally, she levied charges against her spouse for instances of domestic violence, a heartbreaking situation that eventually caused Bell’s Palsy – a condition characterized by partial facial paralysis – to develop in her.
Furthermore, she claimed that not only did Hansika and two other members of the Motwani family ask for costly presents and cash, but they also engaged in illegal activities involving real estate transactions.
According to what Muskan Nancy James shared with ETimes, she has indeed filed a lawsuit against her former spouse and his relatives. However, due to the ongoing legal proceedings, she chose not to provide further comments on the matter.
She shared, “I’ve obtained legal advice, and as things stand, I can’t provide any additional comments.
Back in 2020, I was overjoyed when my beloved, Prashant, and I tied the knot. But, unfortunately, our journey together took a turn since 2022 as we’ve been living apart.
