Hamster Kombat Bans Over 2 Million Cheaters, Confiscates Billions of Tokens

As a seasoned researcher with a penchant for deciphering the complexities of the blockchain world, I find myself intrigued by the Hamster Kombat saga. It’s refreshing to see a platform taking a firm stance against cheaters, especially when the scale of their operation is as vast as this one. However, it’s equally concerning to witness the backlash from some users who feel they too have been cheated in some way.

Hamster Kombat stated clearly on their X page that those who cheat are not welcome within our community, as they’ve already expelled more than 2.3 million individuals who were found breaking the rules.

In simpler terms, Hamster Kombat is a widely played “tap-to-earn” game on Telegram, with over 300 million participants. Yet, among these numerous players, our team found quite a few individuals employing unlawful tactics to boost their earnings from the platform.

As a researcher delving into the intricacies of Hamster Kombat, I’ve spent months dissecting user behavior and uncovering patterns that highlight potential cheaters at various junctures. A striking instance is a user who linked over 400 accounts to a single Binance address. Though it may appear insignificant, another user’s actions are far more alarming – they invited close to 2,000 friends, all of whom were flagged for suspicious activity.

The method used to spot these cheaters was by employing the anti-cheat system. Hamster pointed out that they spotted accounts logging in at a specific hour every day, clicking on the same pixel precisely. These accounts were then marked as potential cheater accounts automatically. These dishonest individuals also employed software to automate their sales, aiming for an advantage over fair players within the community.

The team has chosen to take away the tokens of these dishonest users, totaling 6.8 billion HMSTR tokens. Half of these seized tokens have been given to honest platform users, while the remaining half will be destroyed. Hamster Kombat underscored that their community strongly opposes cheating since they prioritize their players and market participants, especially those who have held onto the token for a prolonged period. They aim to safeguard these loyal individuals.

User Reactions and Criticism

Some users found this announcement disappointing as they believed they too had been deceived and let down by the cryptocurrency project. Notably, Kumar Praveen’s comment on the post garnered significant attention, shedding light on how Hamster had not lived up to some of its promises.

Praveen pointed out that many newcomers in the crypto world have been deceived by so-called influencers regarding certain projects. However, he added a cautionary note that both the people themselves and Hamster have been untrustworthy, as Hamster has also swindled the community.

Additionally, a popular fan page for the cryptocurrency project, HamsterCombat Updates (with approximately 80,000 followers), has requested assistance from the development team in restoring access to accounts that were unjustifiably suspended.

A user named Obj, who has more than 18,000 followers, posted that for Hamster Kombat to regain its reputation, it must be listed at a competitive price; otherwise, they may lose numerous CEOs during the Season 2 stage.

Hamster Kombat has shared that they’re stepping into an interim competition phase, essentially a preparatory period leading up to Season 2. This multi-season event is designed to offer players additional opportunities to accrue rewards like ‘diamonds’, which will be quite beneficial in the approaching seasons.
