Halo and Punisher stars cast in Tessa Thompson's Netflix limited series His & Hers

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for binge-watching and a soft spot for gripping thrillers, I can hardly contain my excitement over Netflix’s upcoming limited series, “His & Hers.” The fact that it boasts an all-star cast featuring Tessa Thompson, Jon Bernthal, and Pablo Schreiber is just the cherry on top of this suspenseful sundae.

Previously this summer, it was announced that Netflix would be releasing a forthcoming thriller miniseries titled “His & Hers“. This intriguing production will feature and be executive produced by the Emmy Award-nominated actress Tessa Thompson. Adapted from Alice Feeney’s book of the same name, additional roles for the miniseries on Netflix have been filled.

Actor Jon Bernthal, known for his roles in “The Punisher” and “The Bear”, as well as Pablo Schreiber, who has appeared in “Halo” and “Orange Is the New Black”, have been added to the main cast of “His & Hers”. Bernthal will portray a detective named Jack, who is also the husband of Anna (played by Thompson), while Schreiber will take on the role of news station cameraman Richard.

Netflix’s His & Hers begins production in fall 2024

As per Deadline, the filming for the six-episode limited series is set to start this autumn. This implies that production will be completed by the end of this year or possibly early in 2025. Given Netflix’s past patterns, viewers can anticipate the release of the limited series well before mid to late 2025, potentially as soon as fall 2024.

I can’t wait to dive into “His & Hers,” a captivating series brought to life by the creative minds behind it: William Oldroyd, Dee Johnson, and Bill Dubuque, who has also made waves with Netflix’s “Ozark.” As executive producers, their collective talent promises an unforgettable viewing experience. To top it off, Academy Award-winning actress Jessica Chastain is on board as an executive producer! Buckle up for a binge-watching adventure like no other!

The story unfolds in Atlanta, Georgia, where former career news anchor Anna finds herself at the fringes of life. Her marriage to Jack is strained, leaving her isolated. A murder mystery in her quaint hometown of Dahlonega stirs something within her and propels her back into the workforce to delve into the case. Partnering with cameraman Richard, who’s married to a new news anchor, Anna embarks on this investigative journey together.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Jon Bernthal has just claimed his first Emmy Award for his captivating guest role in the second season of Hulu’s beloved comedy-drama show, The Bear. Looking forward, he’s set to rejoin Ben Affleck in the long-awaited sequel, The Accountant 2, and once more don the role of The Punisher for Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+. These exciting projects are slated for release in 2025.

Currently, Schreiber is moving on from a two-season run on the sci-fi drama “Halo,” which aired on Paramount+ and was adapted from the video game with the same name. Prior to this, he made appearances in the first two seasons of “American Gods” and starred in the limited series “Defending Jacob” and “Candy.” To many Netflix viewers, he is best recognized as “Pornstache” from the series “Orange Is the New Black.
