The internet buzzed with excitement as fans learned that musical artist Halle Bailey is in a new relationship. Recently published photos show the radiant “Angel” vocalist, clad in a bikini, sharing a kiss with her latest companion on a yacht, a location believed to be near the Italian coastline.
Who is Halle Bailey’s new boyfriend?
According to reports, Halle Bailey is dating Scott Bridgeway, a well-known music producer who has worked on Kendrick Lamar‘s successful tracks. The actress from The Little Mermaid is starting a new phase in her life with her boyfriend and dealing with child custody matters involving her one-year-old son, Halo, with her former partner DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr) (as reported by The Express Tribune).
It’s not clear who Bailey is dating now, but The Shade Room shared photos of them on a yacht enjoying the European summer. These romantic shots show intimate moments like stolen kisses, fun photo shoots, and sunlit scenes of the couple enjoying their time on the yacht.
In one picture, Bailey can be seen leaping over the sea, while her latest partner is figuring out the perfect shot. In other images, they are deeply kissing and embracing affectionately.
Currently, the custody dispute between the “Braveface” singer and rapper DDG persists. More recently, DDG, aged 27, asked for a temporary restraining order against Bailey in a Los Angeles court.
According to reports, DDG urgently requested the court to prevent Bailey from traveling with their shared son Halo to Italy. The rapper asserted that Bailey presented an “urgent emotional and mental danger” to their child.
In addition, DDG claimed that Bailey had threatened self-harm while they were together. Yet, on June 5, the judge dismissed DDG’s pleas. Remarkably, Bailey was allowed to go to Italy with Halo for filming purposes, as reported by PEOPLE.
Ultimately, the judge decided that DDG was permitted to meet Halo in Italy, but under the watchful eye of a professional. However, the judge stipulated that DDG should refrain from sharing photos or updates about his son on social media during this visit, as reported by The Root.
Earlier, Bailey was given temporary guardianship of their son following claims that DDG had physically and emotionally harmed her. On May 13, the actress brought charges of various types of abuse against DDG when she filed a restraining order.
She asserted that DDG’s temperament and disregard for respect were contributing factors to their split. Moreover, she accused DDG of disparaging her parenting skills on social media platforms. Notably, she pointed out that these posts by the rapper have led to online bullying and threats from his followers (as reported by USA Today).
