The widely acclaimed comedy show “Hacks” has been given the green light by Max for its fifth season, even before the Season 4 finale. This series made its debut on May 13, 2021, and has garnered favorable feedback from both critics and audiences alike. The comedy-drama boasts a talented ensemble cast, which includes Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Megan Stalter, Rose Abdoo, and numerous others.
Max has renewed Hacks Season 5 before Season 4 finale
In a recent announcement, it’s confirmed that the show “Hacks” will continue for another season, specifically its fifth. Following the end of Season 4 on Thursday, May 29, eager fans can look forward to more episodes without much delay.
In simpler terms, the press release stated that “Max has officially ordered another season (5th) of HACKS, which will air on THURSDAY, MAY 29 at 6.00 p.m. Pacific Time/9.00 p.m. Eastern Time. Throughout its broadcast, the series has received a total of 48 Emmy® nominations, with season three winning for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Additionally, Max mentioned that Hacks Season 4 is currently outperforming previous seasons and has consistently seen an increase in both national and international viewership each week during its current run.
After its premiere on Max, Hacks Season 4 landed in the top 5 series broadcasted by the network. The show’s creators, Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, and Jen Statsky, confirmed this at an Emmy FYC event in Los Angeles on May 27.
After the announcement of Season 5 for Hacks, the chief of Max Original Programming, Sarah Aubrey, expressed excitement, saying, “Absolutely! Keep it coming! We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the exceptionally gifted cast and team behind HACKS, and our wonderful collaborators at Universal Television.
Conversely, Erin Underhill, president of Universal Television, remarked, “Much like Deborah Vance (played by Jean Smart), the show HACKS continues to grow more daring, witty, and iconic as time passes.
