Nathan Fillion recalls taking Guy Gardner’s Green Lantern ring and gold tooth from Superman set
During his latest stint on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Nathan Fillion chatted with host Anthony Anderson about Guy Gardner and the upcoming Superman film. The renowned actor shared that he kept two mementos from the Superman set: the Green Lantern ring belonging to Guy Gardner and a gold tooth prop.
Fillion clarified that while he was drawn to items on the film set, he didn’t actually “steal” them in a traditional sense. Rather, he made an effort to consider the feelings of others who worked on the movie, and whether they would notice or mind if those items were missing, before taking any action.
In simpler terms, the actor from The Rookie explained, “I didn’t exactly say ‘stolen.’ Instead, I said, ‘Wow, this is quite nice. By the way, did something happen to it? It seems someone took a part of it today.’ Then I observed their response.
Fillion mentioned that if the situation allowed it, the item at hand would vanish. When Anderson inquired about the most extraordinary thing that Fillion admired and potentially swiped from a set he was part of, the actor admitted to keeping his Green Lantern character’s ring and golden tooth.
During the interview, Fillion previously mentioned why he chose not to keep the iconic bowl-cut wig from the set. He explained, “To be honest, despite initially thinking it wasn’t a big deal, by the end of each day, I was eager to get rid of it. Therefore, I didn’t even consider taking it home.
On July 7, 2025, Superman made its grand debut at the TCL Chinese Theater, with a wider release set for this coming Friday, specifically on July 11.
