As a devoted admirer of Guruprasad’s cinematic brilliance, I find myself both heartbroken and intrigued by this tragic turn of events. His unique storytelling abilities have captivated my soul and left an indelible mark on the Kannada film industry.
Police in Madanayakanahalli, Bengaluru have initiated an investigation to understand the events that resulted in the death of Kannada director Guruprasad. As per News 18’s report, they searched for possible clues such as a suicide note in his apartment but didn’t find any. However, they did discover a laptop, together with two tablets and four mobile devices, from his home.
The experts handling the case have dispatched the evidence to a Forensic Science Lab for more in-depth examination, as they suspect these digital gadgets may hold crucial evidence relevant to their investigation.
The report suggests that any videos taken on mobile phones just prior to his demise could offer valuable clues about the conditions surrounding it.
The Madanayakanahalli police have decided to closely examine Guruprasad’s mobile phones as a key part of their investigation. At present, they are concentrating on scrutinizing his call logs from the last month. According to the report, their aim is to go over his call history, text messages, and WhatsApp chats in an effort to find any repeated patterns that could indicate external pressures or worries preceding his death. Detectives are particularly keen on identifying any frequent contacts that may hint at undue influence.
Additionally, they intend to examine Guruprasad’s bank records to verify his financial status. This is based on Sumithra’s statement to the investigators, suggesting that the filmmaker was heavily in debt due to his movie-making projects.
According to a senior police officer, as reported by The Indian Express, there were no indications of an intruder and the door was locked from within. His financial troubles might have played a role since his wife mentioned he had amassed substantial debt due to his filmmaking projects.
Meanwhile, Guruprasad was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his home in Karnataka on November 3.
