Overwatch 2’s creators, Blizzard Entertainment, have announced a fresh alliance, blending the worlds of anime and gaming. This alliance spotlights the classic series, Gundam Wing, which was the pioneer of the Gundam franchise to air on American television. This partnership also aligns with the anime’s 30th anniversary, honoring its timeless mecha designs and lasting impact.
During this temporary offering, we’re unveiling Legendary Costumes reminiscent of mecha characters from the series “Gundam Wing”. Players will have the opportunity to don their preferred champions, such as Mercy assuming the form of Wing Gundam Zero, Ramattra taking on Epyon, Soldier: 76 transforming into Tallgeese and Reaper becoming Deathscythe. By adopting these alterations, the game takes on a unique anime-influenced visual style, harmonizing two cherished universes together.
The introduction of new challenges related to events will also come with unique Gundam Wing-themed prizes for gamers. Rewards like the Shinigami title and Zero System spray offer distinctive personalization choices, adding depth to gameplay experiences. These bonuses introduce extra interactive features, making the collaboration event more captivating and beneficial.
For a short time only, starting on April 29 and ending on May 13, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire special crossover skins and rewards in Overwatch 2. Don’t forget to check out the Overwatch 2 x Gundam Wing trailer above!
