As a long-time fan of the Zelda series, I can hardly contain my excitement for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom! The collaboration between Nintendo and Grezzo, the masterminds behind the stunning remake of Link’s Awakening, promises an adventure that will surely take our breath away.
As we approach the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Nintendo has revived its Developer Q&A sessions to offer a deeper look into the game before it hits the shelves. In the most recent conversation, Nintendo officially verified what many fans had speculated – that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom was crafted by Grezzo, the same studio responsible for this era’s remake of Link’s Awakening.
In a recent developer Q&A blog post, The Legend of Zelda series Producer Eiji Aonuma talked about his partnership with Grezzo. “For this specific title,” he mentioned, “we requested Grezzo, an accomplished game studio known for their work on remakes within the Legend of Zelda franchise over the years, to develop a completely new Legend of Zelda game.” He added that they worked together to finish the project. As the producer, Aonuma played the game from the player’s standpoint and provided continuous feedback throughout the process.
As an ardent fan, I had the pleasure of learning about the remarkable individuals behind the creation of this exciting new entry in the Zelda series – Echoes of Wisdom. On Grezzo’s side, it was Satoshi Terada, the director, who shared his rich background in art and level design for previous Zelda games and took the helm for this brand-new adventure.
Nintendo has been quite secretive in recent times about revealing their development partners and their projects, causing much speculation. But now, the team behind Echoes of Wisdom has been confirmed, and fans can eagerly anticipate embarking on this new adventure when The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom releases on September 26, 2024.
