You might not expect much from Greasy Luck, but this Glaive packs quite a punch! Its impressive perk set makes it ideal for tackling groups in PvE, and it has a few hidden tricks up its sleeve that will leave your PvP opponents scratching their heads. The catch? Tracking one down in the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon can be quite challenging.
Greasy Luck god roll – PvE
As a devoted player, I’m all about that Greasy Luck god roll for PvE! It’s simply amazing how effortlessly it wipes out hordes of enemies. Out of two fantastic choices, I’ve decided to go with the Chain Reaction method. This way, I can keep the chaos at bay and enjoy the game even more!

Start with Ballistic Tuning and Extended Magazine for increased shot range and ammunition capacity. However, reload speed decreases with this setup. Primarily, you’ll find it useful for melee combat. If you choose to fire, you’ll notice an improvement in aerial effectiveness, which is a worthwhile compromise.
The key advantages are Restocking (for ammo) and Combustion Chain. Restocking allows you to bypass reloading time, even when it’s stored, effectively doubling its standard capacity. Combustion Chain is where the wave-clear effect occurs. It cuts, slices, and creates elemental blasts on every kill. This might be more beneficial than Incandescent as a kill triggers an explosion rather than just accumulating Scorch stacks.

In the forge known as the Crucible, glaives could either pose a fearsome challenge or become a troublesome tool to handle. Yet, for Greasy Luck, it’s more of a daunting adversary rather than a difficult instrument to manage.

Just like the ideal build for Player-versus-Environment (PvE), pairing Ballistic Tuning and Extended Mag works effectively. You don’t need to fret much over the impact on shield duration, as you’ll rarely be using a Glaive’s shield except in emergencies.
In critical situations, Melee Momentum proves to be very useful since Glaives are adept at swiftly slicing through enemies, making them challenging to handle in close quarters. This is the reason why it’s beneficial. If you manage to score a melee kill, not only will you gain extra energy, but you’ll also move faster while blocking, allowing you to get nearer for the next takedown. Additionally, Incandescent will more effortlessly spread and overpower Guardians.
As a gamer, I find that my Origin Trait, Masterwork, and Mod choices are all about personal taste. In most scenarios, reviving allies isn’t an option, except perhaps in Trials. However, when it comes to close-quarter combat, the Gravity Well can be quite handy, gathering ammo nearby. A little handling boost also speeds up weapon usage, while the Targeting Adjuster helps me hit shots I might otherwise miss.
A god roll for Greasy Luck is an excellent choice for both PvE and PvP players. If you manage to get a perk setup that suits your gameplay, it could be a superior option for clearing waves compared to other alternatives.
